Army Reserve Training Center Compound

Description and Features

The new construction project designed two facilities on separate sites.

One location contains a reserve center and material storage area. The reserve center includes classrooms, unit common areas, physical training areas, a large assembly hall, a kitchen, open office spaces, and private offices. The material storage area contained unit storage, staging areas, an armory, and a vault. Our firm provided the mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for the project, including HVAC, plumbing, power, lighting, communications, and security. Project requirements included the need to coordinate with Puerto Rican utilities. Facility was designed to achieve LEED certification. The design complies with the latest anti-terrorist/force protection (AT/FP) criteria.

The second location provides a complete vehicle maintenance facility for equipment, trucks and other vehicles. Included are office areas, locker areas, vehicle lifts, vehicle combustion exhaust systems, washdown areas, and fueling islands.
